Is PropertyOS only for Uganda?
No — it's built mobile-money first for East Africa. UGX is the default currency but KES, RWF, TZS, and USD are supported. WHT and tax handling can be configured per jurisdiction.
How does Mobile Money collection work?
Tenants get an STK push to their MTN or Airtel number from the tenant portal. The payment is verified via the Flutterwave webhook, posted against their lease, and a receipt PDF is generated and SMS'd in seconds.
Do I need accounting expertise?
No. The Chart of Accounts is pre-seeded for property management. Rent payments, deposits, refunds, expenses, and WHT all auto-post the right double-entry. You see the result — P&L, balance sheet, AR aging — without writing any journal entries.
Can I migrate from spreadsheets?
Yes. Every list view supports CSV import and we have onboarding templates for properties, units, tenants, leases, and historical payments. The Growth and Enterprise plans include white-glove migration.
What about URA fiscal receipts?
PropertyOS has EFRIS integration scaffolding. Once you provision your URA device credentials, the system can issue fiscal receipts directly. In the meantime it computes WHT and tax correctly and produces audit-ready reports.
Can owners and tenants log in too?
Yes — owners get a read-only portal with NOI, occupancy, and expense approval. Tenants get a self-service portal to pay rent, view their lease, raise complaints, and sign documents. Both are mobile-first.
